Base
- 10 full-size graham crackers
Toffee Layer
- 1 cup (2 sticks) salted butter
- 1 cup packed light brown sugar
Toppings
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 2 cups mini marshmallows
- Prepare the Baking Sheet: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×13-inch baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil, making sure to cover the sides for easy cleanup.
- Arrange Graham Crackers: Place the graham crackers in a single layer on the baking sheet, breaking them as needed so they cover the entire bottom evenly.
- Make the Toffee Layer: In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt together the butter and brown sugar, stirring constantly. Bring the mixture to a rolling boil and continue cooking for 3-4 minutes until it thickens slightly and turns a rich caramel color.
- Pour and Bake Toffee: Pour the hot toffee mixture evenly over the graham crackers, using a spatula to spread it to cover all crackers. Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 5-7 minutes until the toffee bubbles.
- Add Chocolate and Marshmallows: Remove the baking sheet from the oven and immediately sprinkle the chocolate chips evenly on top. Let them sit for 1-2 minutes to melt, then spread the melted chocolate into an even layer with a spatula. Sprinkle mini marshmallows evenly over the chocolate.
- Toast the Marshmallows: Set your oven to broil. Place the baking sheet back in the oven for 1-2 minutes, watching closely to toast the marshmallows until golden brown. Be careful not to burn them.
- Cool and Serve: Remove from the oven and allow the S’mores Crack to cool completely in the pan before cutting and serving.
Notes
- Use salted butter for balanced flavor; if using unsalted, add a pinch of salt.
- Watch the marshmallows carefully during broiling to prevent burning.
- For easier cleanup, use parchment paper to line the baking sheet.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
- You can substitute semi-sweet chocolate chips with milk or dark chocolate chips based on your preference.
