Crust

  • 48 Oreo cookies, finely crushed

Cream Cheese Layer

  • 12 ounces cream cheese (1 ½ bricks), room temperature
  • ¾ cup powdered sugar
  • 8 ounces Cool Whip, thawed
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 6 Oreo cookies, finely crushed

Pudding Layer

  • 3 cups half and half or whole milk
  • 7.8 ounces (2 boxes of 3.9-ounce) instant chocolate pudding mix
  • 6 Oreo cookies, finely crushed

Top Layer

  • 8 ounces Cool Whip, thawed
  • 12 Oreo cookies, finely crushed

Instructions

  1. Prepare the crust: In a large bowl, mix the finely crushed 48 Oreo cookies with the melted salted butter until the mixture is well combined. Press this cookie mixture into an even layer in the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish to form the crust. Place the crust in the refrigerator to chill while you prepare the next layer.
  2. Make the cream cheese layer: In a large mixing bowl, beat the room temperature cream cheese together with the powdered sugar using a hand or stand mixer until smooth and creamy. Add in the thawed Cool Whip and vanilla extract, and continue to beat until the mixture is well combined. Gently fold in the 6 finely crushed Oreo cookies. Spread this cream cheese mixture evenly over the chilled Oreo crust. Refrigerate to set while preparing the pudding layer.
  3. Prepare the pudding layer: In a large bowl, whisk together the half and half (or whole milk) with the instant chocolate pudding mix until the pudding thickens, following package instructions (approximately 2 minutes). Fold in the 6 finely crushed Oreo cookies. Spread an even layer of the pudding over the cream cheese layer. Place the dessert back in the refrigerator for 5 minutes to allow the pudding to slightly set.
  4. Add the top layer: Spread the remaining 8 ounces of thawed Cool Whip over the pudding layer evenly. Finally, sprinkle the 12 finely crushed Oreo cookies on top as a garnish.
  5. Chill the dessert: Refrigerate the Oreo lasagna for at least four hours (preferably overnight) to allow all layers to set and flavors to meld before serving.
