Ingredients

Scale

Spirits

  • 15 ml vodka
  • 15 ml white rum
  • 15 ml gin
  • 15 ml tequila
  • 15 ml triple sec (optional for balance)

Mixers

  • 30 ml fresh lemon juice
  • 30 ml simple syrup
  • Cola, to top
  • Ice cubes, as needed

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Glass: Fill a highball glass with ice cubes to chill the glass and the drink.
  2. Mix the Spirits: Pour 15 ml each of vodka, white rum, gin, tequila, and triple sec into a cocktail shaker or directly into the glass.
  3. Add Citrus and Sweetness: Add 30 ml fresh lemon juice and 30 ml simple syrup to balance the strong alcohol flavors with acidity and sweetness.
  4. Combine Ingredients: Stir the mixture gently to combine all ingredients well.
  5. Top with Cola: Fill the remaining glass volume with cola, approximately 60-90 ml, and give the drink a gentle stir to mix but preserve carbonation.
  6. Garnish and Serve: Optionally, garnish with a lemon wedge or twist and serve immediately over ice.

Notes

  • Adjust the quantity of cola according to your taste preference for sweetness and strength.
  • Triple sec is traditionally included to add a citrusy note; it can be omitted if unavailable.
  • Use fresh lemon juice for the best flavor.
  • The Long Island Iced Tea is a strong cocktail; drink responsibly.
  • Serving in a tall glass over lots of ice helps balance the alcohol intensity.
