Garlic Parmesan Meatballs are a delicious and easy-to-make appetizer or main dish, combining savory ground meat with aromatic garlic and rich Parmesan cheese. These meatballs are baked to perfection for a tender, juicy bite every time.

Ingredients

Scale

Meatball Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground meat (beef, pork, or a mix)
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley (optional)
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Meatball Mixture: In a large bowl, combine ground meat, minced garlic, grated Parmesan, breadcrumbs, beaten egg, milk, parsley (if using), salt, and pepper. Mix gently until just combined to avoid tough meatballs.
  2. Form the Meatballs: Using your hands or a small scoop, shape the mixture into evenly sized meatballs about 1 to 1.5 inches in diameter. Place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet spaced evenly apart.
  3. Bake the Meatballs: Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Bake the meatballs on the middle rack for 18-22 minutes or until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) and are golden brown on the outside.
  4. Serve: Remove from the oven and let the meatballs rest for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy them as an appetizer with dipping sauce or as part of a main dish with pasta or salad.

Notes

  • For extra moisture, soak breadcrumbs in milk before mixing.
  • Feel free to substitute Parmesan with Pecorino Romano for a sharper flavor.
  • Adding fresh herbs like parsley or basil enhances the flavor profile.
  • Use fresh garlic for the best aroma and taste.
  • Make sure not to overmix the meat to keep meatballs tender.
