Scale

Tea Base

  • 4 cups brewed black tea, cooled

Fruit Blend

  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced

Sweetener

  • 2 tablespoons sugar or preferred sweetener (adjust to taste)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Tea: Brew 4 cups of black tea using your preferred method, such as steeping tea bags in hot water for 3-5 minutes, then allow to cool to room temperature or chill in the refrigerator.
  2. Blend Strawberries: In a blender, combine the fresh sliced strawberries with 1 tablespoon of the sweetener and blend until smooth to create a strawberry puree.
  3. Mix Tea and Strawberry Puree: Pour the strawberry puree into the cooled black tea, stirring well to combine the flavors evenly.
  4. Sweeten and Chill: Taste the mixture and add the remaining sweetener if needed, stirring until dissolved. Refrigerate the mixture for at least 1 hour to chill thoroughly.
  5. Serve: Once chilled, pour the strawberry iced tea into glasses with ice cubes and garnish with fresh strawberry slices or lemon wedges if desired.

Notes

  • Adjust the sweetness according to your preference by adding more or less sweetener.
  • For an extra fruity twist, add a splash of fresh lemon juice before chilling.
  • Use ripe, fresh strawberries for the best natural flavor.
  • This recipe can be made ahead and stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
