Ingredients

Scale

Garlic Bread

  • 1 Loaf frozen french garlic bread

Meat & Cheese

  • 12 Oz. Philly cheesesteak meat
  • 2 C. shredded provolone cheese
  • 2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce

Vegetables & Seasonings

  • 1 Medium onion, chopped
  • 1 Green bell pepper, chopped
  • Olive oil (for sautéing)
  • Garlic powder (to taste)
  • Onion powder (to taste)
  • Salt (to taste)
  • Black pepper (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Prep the Garlic Bread: Bake the frozen french garlic bread according to the package instructions. Keep the oven on after baking, as you will be returning the prepared bread to melt the cheese.
  2. Cook the Meat: In a skillet over medium-high heat, cook the Philly cheesesteak meat until fully browned. Drain any excess fat. Stir in Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Set aside to allow flavors to combine.
  3. Sauté the Veggies: Heat olive oil in a separate skillet over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and green bell pepper and cook until tender and slightly caramelized, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Layer the Good Stuff: On the baked garlic bread, spread a layer of shredded provolone cheese. Top the cheese with the cooked Philly cheesesteak meat and then the sautéed vegetables. Add another layer of cheese on top to ensure a cheesy finish.
  5. Bake to Perfection: Place the loaded garlic bread back in the oven for about 5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and golden.
  6. Serve & Enjoy: Remove from oven, slice the bread into portions, and serve warm for a delicious and hearty meal.

Notes

  • You can substitute the Philly cheesesteak meat with thinly sliced ribeye or sirloin steak for a fresher option.
  • Adjust seasoning according to taste; adding a pinch of red pepper flakes can add a nice kick.
  • Use mozzarella cheese in place of provolone for a different cheesy texture and flavor.
  • Serve with a side of ketchup, hot sauce, or a simple salad for a complete meal.
  • This recipe is perfect for quick dinners or gatherings, as it combines classic flavors in an easy-to-make format.
