Ingredients
- 3 cups of your favorite cereal (such as cornflakes or rice cereal)
- 1 cup peanut butter (smooth or crunchy based on preference)
- 1/2 cup honey
- Heat Peanut Butter and Honey: In a medium saucepan over low heat, gently warm the peanut butter and honey together, stirring continuously until the mixture is smooth and well combined. Do not overheat or let it boil.
- Mix with Cereal: Remove from heat and immediately add the cereal to the peanut butter and honey mixture. Stir thoroughly until every piece of cereal is coated evenly.
- Press and Chill: Transfer the mixture to a lined 8×8 inch baking dish. Use a spatula or clean hands to press the mixture firmly and evenly into the dish. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour to allow the bars to set completely before cutting into squares and serving.
Notes
- You can substitute peanut butter with almond butter or sunflower seed butter for allergies or different flavors.
- Use gluten-free cereal if you need a gluten-free option.
- Store the bars in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
- For added texture, consider mixing in some chopped nuts, dried fruits, or chocolate chips.
