Ingredients

Scale

Chocolate Brownie Batter

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder

Biscoff Layer

  • 1/2 cup Biscoff spread

Instructions

  1. Prepare the batter: In a mixing bowl, combine the sugar, eggs, and melted butter, stirring until smooth and well blended. Sift together cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder, then gradually fold into the wet ingredients until fully incorporated, creating a rich, chocolatey batter.
  2. Layer the batter and Biscoff spread: Pour half of the chocolate brownie batter into a greased baking pan. Dollop spoonfuls of Biscoff spread evenly over the batter layer. Pour the remaining brownie batter over and gently swirl the Biscoff spread into the batter using a knife for a marbled effect.
  3. Bake the brownies: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Place the baking pan in the oven and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with moist crumbs but no wet batter.
  4. Cool and slice: Remove the brownies from the oven and allow them to cool completely in the pan on a wire rack. Once cooled, slice into desired squares and serve.

Notes

  • For a fudgier texture, slightly reduce the baking time.
  • You can warm the Biscoff spread slightly to make swirling easier.
  • Store brownies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
  • Adding chopped nuts can add a nice crunch if desired.
