Ingredients

Scale

Meat

  • 1 lb ground beef

Pasta

  • 2 cups elbow macaroni

Vegetables & Sauce

  • 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
  • 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 1 medium onion, chopped

Seasoning

  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Brown the Beef: In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked, breaking it apart with a spoon. Drain any excess fat.
  2. Prepare Slow Cooker: Transfer the browned ground beef to the crock-pot.
  3. Add Remaining Ingredients: Add macaroni, tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, chopped onion, garlic powder, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper to the slow cooker. Stir to combine evenly.
  4. Cook: Cover and cook on low for 4 to 6 hours or on high for 2 to 3 hours, until the macaroni is tender and flavors are well blended.
  5. Serve: Give the goulash a good stir before serving. Adjust seasoning if needed and enjoy warm.

Notes

  • You can substitute ground turkey or chicken for a leaner protein option.
  • Stir occasionally if possible to prevent macaroni from sticking to the bottom.
  • For a cheesier version, add shredded cheese on top during the last 15 minutes of cooking.
  • Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
