Instructions

  1. Prepare the artichokes: Drain the artichoke hearts well and pat them dry using paper towels to remove excess moisture, ensuring a crispy coating later.
  2. Make the coating mixture: In a shallow bowl, combine the grated Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, and garlic powder, mixing well to evenly distribute the flavors.
  3. Dip the artichokes in egg: Beat the egg in another shallow bowl. Dip each artichoke heart into the beaten egg to coat it completely, allowing excess egg to drip off.
  4. Coat with Parmesan mixture: Roll each egg-coated artichoke heart in the Parmesan and breadcrumb mixture, pressing lightly to ensure the coating sticks well.
  5. Cook the artichokes: You can either bake or air fry the coated artichokes. For air frying, preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) and cook the artichokes in a single layer for 10-12 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until crisp and golden.
