Ingredients

Scale

Oreo Crust

  • 24 Oreo cookies, finely crushed
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

Cream Cheese Layer

  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup heavy cream, whipped to stiff peaks

Chocolate Pudding Layer

  • 2 cups cold milk
  • 1 package (3.9 ounces) instant chocolate pudding mix

Peppermint Topping

  • 1/2 cup crushed peppermint candies or candy canes
  • Whipped cream for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Oreo crust: Mix the finely crushed Oreo cookies with melted butter until evenly combined. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9×13-inch dish to form an even crust. Refrigerate to set while preparing the layers.
  2. Make the cream cheese layer: In a medium bowl, beat softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth. Gently fold in the whipped heavy cream until fully combined and fluffy. Spread this mixture evenly over the Oreo crust and smooth the top. Chill in the refrigerator for 15 minutes.
  3. Prepare the chocolate pudding layer: Whisk the instant chocolate pudding mix with cold milk for about 2 minutes until thickened. Evenly layer the pudding over the cream cheese mixture in the dish. Return the lasagna to the refrigerator to chill for at least 2 hours or until set.
  4. Add peppermint topping and serve: Before serving, sprinkle crushed peppermint candies over the top and add whipped cream if desired for extra decoration. Cut into squares and serve chilled.

Notes

  • For a stronger peppermint flavor, add a few drops of peppermint extract to the cream cheese layer.
  • Ensure the cream cheese is fully softened to avoid lumps in the cream cheese layer.
  • This dessert can be made a day in advance and kept covered in the refrigerator.
  • To make the crust gluten-free, use gluten-free chocolate sandwich cookies instead of Oreos.
